Nell’eucaristia, il sacrum è radicato nella presenza di Cristo, il Santo di Dio. In questa si rivela l’adesse della sua santità. La celebrazione eucaristica è sacra perché è actio Christi, vale a dire, perché ci viene dal Re della gloria. Alla Chiesa corrisponde accogliere questo sacrum in sinergia col suo Sposo. Questa impostazione regge un’autentica ars celebrandi, che consisterà nella celebrazione del mistero nel mistero. È urgente, in conseguenza, riprendere una visione della liturgia che polarizzi la sua attenzione intorno alla presenza di Cristo.

In the eucharist, the sacred is rooted in the presence of Christ, the Holy One of God. In this is revealed the source of its holiness. The eucharistic celebration is sacred because it is the action of Christ; it comes to us from the King of glory. It is up to the Church to gather in this sacred in synergy with her Spouse. This mode of viewing the eucharist requires an authentic art of celebration, which will consist in the celebration of the mystery in the mystery. As a consequence, it is urgent to return to a vision of the liturgy, which highlights its attention to the presence of Christ.

Il rinnovamento liturgico ha le sue basi nel Vaticano II. La novità più gravida di conseguenze è stata la riscoperta della preghiera eucaristica, e in essa dell’epiclesi pneumatologica. Tale riscoperta ha reso possibile l’introduzione di nuove preghiere eucaristiche e di prefazi. Problemi pastorali e teologici permangono, in particolare quello di trarre le conseguenze dalla pneumatologia, per un’autentica partecipazione. Per il cammino ecumenico è fonte di speranza l’abbondanza della Scrittura nella celebrazione e l’avere collocato l’eucaristia al centro della Chiesa.

The liturgical renewal has its basis in Vatican II. The novelty more pregnant with consequences has been the rediscovery of the eucharistic prayer, and in it of the pneumatological epiclesis. Such a rediscovery has made possible the introduction of new eucharistic prayers and prefaces. Pastoral and theological problems persist, particularly that of drawing out the consequences of pneumatology, for an authentic participation. The abundance of Scripture in the celebration and the fact of having placed the eucharist at the centre of the Church, are sources of hope for the ecumenical process.

L’autore evidenzia la pregnanza epicletica del Canone romano, arricchita esplicitamente dalle nuove anafore. Avverte come già la categoria di memoriale includa l’azione dello Spirito, così come il recupero del significato etimologico di Cristo, l’Unto dal Padre nello Spirito, coniuga bene il ruolo congiunto di Cristo e dello Spirito in tutta la celebrazione. È l’insegnamento riproposto dal Catechismo della Chiesa cattolica e dal recente magistero. Si avanza, infine, il richiamo, fondato liturgicamente, all’evento mariano come arricchimento per la comprensione dell’epiclesi.

The author highlights the epicletical richness of the roman Canon, enriched especially by the new anaforas. The study calls our attention to the fact that as «memorial» itself includes the action of the Spirit, so also the rediscovery of the etymological significance of Christ, the Anointed of the Father in the Spirit, joins well the related role of Christ and of the Spirit in all the celebration. This is the teaching re-proposed by the Catechism of the catholic Church and by the recent magisterium. In conclusion, the study puts forward the invitation, liturgically founded, to the Marian event as the instrument for the understanding of the epiclesis.

L’autore si colloca nell’ottica di un docente di liturgia. Egli inquadra, anzitutto, il problema complesso e articolato della formazione del clero sotto il profilo intellettuale – tenendo presente che oggi anche i laici sono tornati a studiare e a insegnare teologia –, ma si limita agli studi teologici; tocca pertanto solo indirettamente l’ambito della formazione spirituale e pastorale. Inoltre, anche se il tema tende ad ampliarsi all’intera ratio studiorum e ai problemi connessi, lo studio si limita a indicare gli stimoli che emergono dalla convergenza del dettato conciliare.

The author writes from the position of a teacher of liturgy. Above all, he places the complex problem of the formation of the clergy in the intellectual field – keeping in mind that today the laity has also returned to study and to teach theology – but limits himself to the theological studies. The ambit of spiritual and pastoral formation is touched upon only indirectly. Even if the theme tends to amplify itself within the purview of the ratio studiorum and of the problems connected with it, the study limits itself to indicate the stimulus which come out of a convergence of the conciliar indications.

Il Convengo di Verona 2006 ha scelto, come fondazione biblica delle sue riflessioni teologico-pastorali, il testo della prima lettera di Pietro. L’Apostolo, che ha professato per primo la messianicità del Cristo e ha testimoniato con il sangue la sua fede, con i discorsi, gli scritti e la vita è stato – e rimane per la Chiesa – un testimone e un maestro nel cammino di fede che la Chiesa percorre per portare la salvezza, per diffondere i semi della speranza cristiana, e per illuminare le ombre che ne offuscano l’itinerario verso la pienezza escatologica della vita in Cristo.

The Congress of Verona 2006 has chosen, as the biblical foundation of its theological and pastoral reflections, the text of the first letter of Peter. The apostle who was the first to profess Christ as the messiah and who testified to his faith with his blood, with his discourses, writings and his whole life was – and remains for the Church – a witness and a master in the path of faith which the Church treads to bring salvation, to diffuse the seeds of christian hope, and to illumine the shadows which darken the journey towards the eschatological fullness of life in Christ.

L’autore ripercorre gli eventi che durante il pontificato di Giovanni Paolo II hanno segnato la vita liturgica della Chiesa, senza eludere l’onere di una valutazione. Oltre alla pubblicazione di alcuni libri liturgici, è stato importante il magistero liturgico di questo pontefice, che dalla prima enciclica Redemptor hominis (1979) all’ultima Ecclesia de eucharistia (2003) si è pronunciato ripetutamente su questioni liturgiche. L’autore conclude affermando che gli anni del pontificato di Wojtyla appartengono al tempo lungo e faticoso della ricezione della riforma del Vaticano II.

The author goes over the events during the pontificate of John Paul II which marked the liturgical life of the Church, without avoiding the burden of an evaluation. Besides the publication of certain liturgical books, the liturgical magisterium of this Pope has been important. From the first encyclical Redemptor hominis (1979) to the last Ecclesia de eucharistia (2003) he has pronounced himself repeatedly on liturgical questions. The author concludes affirming that the years of the pontificate of Wojtyla form the long and laborious period of the reception of the reform of Vatican II.
